Activity Category: Swimming Holes
If you are looking to bath in some Tea Tree lakes to revitalise your skin then this is the place to do it. The water is very tanned from all the tea trees that surround the lake. The lake is shallow so the temperature of the water is very pleasant even in the cooler months.
Directions:
The best way to get here is to park on McGregor Street in Suffolk Park (5km south of Byron Bay). Walk to the beach and head south toward broken head for about 500 metres. You will see a small river flowing into the sea. Follow this river inland and it takes you to the Tea Tree Lakes.
